Seven Simple Checks looks at the seven areas that matter most for long-term health.
These are the checks we do ourselves, year after year.
The health of your heart and brain are closely linked. Checking things like cholesterol helps build a clear picture of future heart and brain health.
Low-grade inflammation is linked to many common health problems, including some cancers, so we check for early signs and offer additional tests for reassurance where appropriate.
How your body handles sugar has a big impact on long-term health. Problems are common and often silent, which is why this is one of the most important things to check.
Hormones affect energy, mood, sleep and weight. Checking key hormones helps explain how your body is functioning day-to-day.
Nutrients help your body work properly, from energy levels to immunity. We check the most common ones as standard, with the option to explore further if needed.
Your liver plays a major role in how your body processes food, alcohol and medication. Changes in liver markers are often an early sign that something isn’t working as it should.
Your kidneys help filter waste and control blood pressure. Problems are common and go unnoticed early on, which is why this is one of the checks that really matters.
Every set of results is reviewed by a Selph doctor.
We treat people like people - not tickets or transactions.
Rapid answers when you need them.
Using the evidence, not constrained by it.
We've compared Selph with a typical private health check and the NHS Health Check, based on what's usually included as standard.

It’s designed for adults who want a sensible, proactive way to keep an eye on their health — whether you feel well or have minor concerns you’d like to understand better.
Many health tests measure dozens or even hundreds of markers, which can be hard to interpret, add little value and are may even cause unnecessary worry. 7 Simple Checks focuses on seven areas that have the biggest impact on long-term health, prioritising clarity, relevance and repeatability.
You can choose from different blood collection methods, including finger-prick kits, the Tasso EasyDraw device and venous blood draws in a clinic or with a nurse that comes to you. Some add-on tests are only available with certain collection methods, which we’ll guide you through.
Your results are shared securely online, with clear explanations written by doctors. We aim to make them easy to understand, even if you’ve never had a blood test before.
